Lynn-Scott-Rock was called to a structure fire in the 100 block of Oak Street in Holcomb at approximately 11 a.m. on Friday. Assistance was also requested from area fire departments including Stillman Valley, Monroe Center, Flagg-Center, Rochelle, Oregon, New Milford, Cherry Valley, Byron and Kirkland. The flames started on the first floor of the home and spread to the second floor. The fire appears to have started in a bedroom. The home was a total loss. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
