ROCHELLE – Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, people in the community are starting to get into the Christmas spirit by putting up their decorations, including the Flagg Rochelle Public Library.
Community members Chris Adams and Tina Vincent were seen decorating the front of the building for the holiday season. Some of the decorations included garland hanging on the front stairs leading up to the entrance, red and white bows hanging from both ends of the stairs, and a 12 foot Christmas tree on the inside.
Along with decorating the building itself, the library went one step further by transforming their whiskey barrel out front, into a gnome made out of a small Christmas tree, a Santa hat, a potato nose and gloves for arms.
The library will also be participating in the annual Old Fashioned Downtown Christmas Walk on December 6thfrom 4 to 8 p.m.
