ROCHELLE –– The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) will be hosting their fundraiser Wednesday, Aug. 16.
The Latin American group will serve a flauta dinner with rice and beans for $7 from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Spring Lake Marina, 800 Avenue B.
A flauta is a Mexican dish that typically consists of a small rolled-up tortilla filled with beef or chicken and crisp-fried.

The meal is take-out only and all proceeds will benefit LULAC Rochelle.
The Mission of the League of United Latin American Citizens is to advance the economic condition, educational attainment, political influence, housing, health and civil rights of the Hispanic population of the United States.
The Mission of LULAC Rochelle is to foster cultural understanding and build relationships between Hispanic and other residents of Rochelle, and to empower Hispanics to overcome the challenges they face by increasing resources, seeking opportunities, and finding their voice in the community.
