Florida man arrested following traffic stop

On Dec. 7 at approximately 1:48 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 5000 block of North Illinois Route 2. After the investigation, Tommie L. Hurst, 29, of Belleview, Florida, was placed under arrest for no valid driver’s license and obstructing a peace officer. Hurst was also issued citations for illegal transportation of alcohol and operation of a vehicle without proper lighting. Hurst was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he is held in lieu of bond.
On Dec. 9 at approximately 10:40 a.m., deputies performed a traffic stop in the 6400 block of South Illinois Route 2. After investigation, deputies placed Jesse Hetrick, 40, of Dixon, under arrest for driving while license revoked and a valid Livingston County failure to appear warrant for a DUI. Hetrick was additionally issued a citation for operating an uninsured vehicle. Hetrick was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
On Dec. 9 the following people were arrested on outstanding Ogle County warrants:
Ralph McCormick, 35, of Chana, for failure to report a change of address. McCormick went to court and was released on a $10,000 recognizance bond. McCormick was released from the Ogle County Jail and will appear in court on Dec. 18 at 10:30 a.m.
Jeremy Owens, 25, of Rockford, for failure to appear. Owens went to court and was released on a $1,000 recognizance bond. Owens was released from the Ogle County Jail and will appear in court on Dec. 30 at 9 a.m.
