Rochelle brings home 22-14 victory

SYCAMORE — The Rochelle Hub JV football team faced Sycamore in an Interstate 8/Kishwaukee River Conference crossover matchup on Monday, winning 22-14 and improving to 5-0 on the season. Freshmen Roman Villalobos and Brode Metzger each rushed for touchdowns, while sophomore Ryan Senne compiled six tackles for loss and four sacks.

Freshmen Parker Slattengren and Reece Harris each notched sacks for the Hubs, who will face Marengo on the road Friday at 5 p.m. Sophomore quarterback Carson Lewis connected with sophomore Ethan Goodwin for a 65-yard touchdown pass to spark the Rochelle offense. Goodwin also added an interception for the Hub defense.
