The Rochelle Hub varsity football game against Harvard on Friday has been canceled due to a COVID-19 quarantine situation at Harvard High School. The Rochelle Hub fresh-soph football game against Harvard on Monday, Sept. 27 has also been canceled.

Football: Rochelle-Harvard matchup canceled due to COVID-19

Hub varsity, fresh-soph teams to receive forfeit victories

ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Hub varsity football game against Harvard on Friday has been canceled due to a COVID-19 quarantine situation at Harvard High School. The Rochelle Hub fresh-soph football game against Harvard on Monday, Sept. 27 has also been canceled.

In accordance with IHSA regulations, both Rochelle football teams will receive forfeit victories from Harvard and neither game will be rescheduled. The varsity team will improve to 3-2 on the season and 2-1 in the Interstate 8/Kishwaukee River Blue Division. The fresh-soph team will also improve to 4-1 on the season and 2-1 in the Interstate 8/Kishwaukee River Blue Division. Rochelle will host Marengo on Oct. 1, with the fresh-soph game at 5 p.m. and varsity at 7 p.m.
