The Rochelle Hub varsity football game against Sandwich on Friday has been canceled due to a COVID-19 quarantine situation at Sandwich High School. The Rochelle Hub fresh-soph football game will instead be played at 7 p.m. Friday evening.

Hubs finish regular season 7-2 with forfeit; fresh-soph game to be played at 7 p.m.

ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Hub varsity football game against Sandwich on Friday has been canceled due to a COVID-19 quarantine situation at Sandwich High School. The Rochelle Hub fresh-soph football game will instead be played at 7 p.m. Friday evening.

In accordance with IHSA regulations, Rochelle will receive a forfeit victory from Sandwich and the game will not be rescheduled. The varsity team will improve to 7-2 on the season and 5-1 in the Interstate 8/Kishwaukee River Blue Division.

Rochelle will still host Senior Night on Friday, with gates opening at 5:45 p.m. and senior parents lining up with student-athletes at the north end of the stadium at 6 p.m. Introductions will begin at 6:20 p.m.
