Rochelle — The Rochelle Area Community Foundation is the recipient of a $30,000 contribution from ComEd to enhance the quality of life in the Rochelle area.
“The Rochelle Area Community Foundation would like to express its extreme gratitude for ComEd’s generous contribution on behalf of the City of Rochelle,” Foundation President Cal Jacobs said. “This will provide funds to continue the foundation’s work now and into the future.”
This contribution follows the City of Rochelle’s sale of its electric transmission assets to ComEd this past summer. As lead negotiator on the transaction, City Manager Jeff Fiegenschuh felt it was essential that in a deal of this size, a contribution be made that benefits residents.
