OREGON — Gallop over to Pegasus Special Riders in celebration of 20 years at their annual picnic on Saturday, June 24.
The fundraiser will begin at 5 p.m. for the therapeutic riding facility. A pork chop sandwich dinner will be provided by Ralphie and LuLu’s.
This year four clients will provide a rider demonstration. The demonstration will showcase how able bodied clients interact with and the tasks they perform on a horse. The clients will also have the opportunity to introduce their horse to the community.
Along with the demonstration, Jim Kanas will play American roots music. Horsey Bingo tickets will be available in advance or during the event with a 50/50 split. A Chinese auction, musical chairs, face paint and games will be held throughout the evening.
The public is welcome, and tickets are available for purchase early by calling 815-973-3177 or will be available at the door on the day of the event. Tickets are $15 per person or $50 for a family of four, kids under 5 are admitted free of charge.
