CRESTON — Gayla Denese Martin, 59, loving wife and mother, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017 at the Oregon Living and Rehab Center. She was born on Oct. 16, 1958 in Nashville, Ark., the daughter of Henry C. and Hazel L. (Cates) Ezell. She worked as a Registered Nurse. Gayla married Jerdie William Martin on April 23, 1983 in Nashville, Ark.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Jerdie Martin and daughter, Shannon Martin, both of Creston; two brothers, Larry (Kay) Ezell and Gary Ezell both of Mountain Home, Ark; two sisters, Janet (Andy) Frazier of Huntsville, Texas, and Angie (Jeff) Kennedy of Ashdown, Ark; and one niece, Jessica Kennedy.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 27 at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. Sixth St., Rochelle, with Rev. Ken Lawson, Chaplain of Unity Hospice officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 10 - 11 a.m. prior to the funeral. Burial at Lawnridge Cemetery will follow cremation rites.
