ROCHELLE — George W. Howe, 60, a longtime resident of Rochelle, passed away Friday, Jan. 21. The son of George Washington Howe Jr. and Julie Ann (Horton) Howe married Darcy Lynn La Tour on Aug. 22, 1986.
His world revolved around his family. He worked as the security supervisor at Woods on Oregon and was with the company for 10 years. His greatest joys in life included vacationing with his wife, fishing, cooking out and spending time with his kids and grandchildren.
George was preceded in death by his brothers, Dan and Clyde Howe.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Darcy La Tour Howe, his parents, George and Julie Howe, Pete (Cathy) Howe of Poplar Grove, Joseph (Tonia) Howe and Kevin (Lori) Miller both of Rochelle, his children Christopher (Morgan) Hardesty-Howe, Amanda (Sean) Goodpaster and Harmony (Philip) Hillker all of Rochelle and his grandchildren Sophia Shaver, George Hardesty-Howe, Wyatt Battershell and Nathan Hardesty.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
