YORKVILLE — The Rochelle varsity girls basketball team fell against Yorkville on the road Thursday evening by a score of 65-29 to drop to 4-10 overall and lose for the fourth consecutive game.
The Foxes shut down Rochelle’s offense, holding the Lady Hubs to only 21.6 percent shooting from the field and 22.2 percent from 3-point range. Senior Abby Lundquist led Rochelle with 19 points and 10 rebounds, while sophomore Afi Gati added three points and six rebounds.
Junior Gabrielle Harding and freshman Zoey Tabor each totaled two points and two rebounds, with freshman Josie Lundquist scoring three points.
Yorkville led 16-6 after the first quarter before outscoring the Lady Hubs 18-9 in the second quarter to lead 34-15 at halftime. The Foxes put the game away with a 22-12 run in the third quarter and cruised 9-2 over the Lady Hubs in the fourth quarter.
