Girls Basketball: Lady Hubs hold off Morris on the road

Rochelle scores 36-31 victory in conference play

MORRIS — The Rochelle Lady Hub varsity basketball team went on the road Saturday, scoring a 36-31 win over Morris in Interstate 8 Conference action. Junior Alivia Henkel totaled nine points, while junior Kennedy Adamski added eight points and sophomore Kendyl Darby recorded seven points. The victory clinched a two-game season sweep of the Redskins for Rochelle (7-19, 5-5 Interstate 8).

Henkel finished with seven rebounds and five steals for the Lady Hubs, while Darby grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds and notched three steals. Juniors Adamski and Sydney Tabor each snagged four rebounds for Rochelle in the win on Saturday. Senior Torrin Nantz had three points and three steals, while junior Kara Martinez led the team with three assists.
