Girls Basketball: Lady Hubs score second straight conference win


Rochelle records 54-38 road victory over Plano

PLANO — A balanced offensive attack from the Rochelle Lady Hub varsity basketball team led to a 54-38 win over the Plano Reapers and the team's second consecutive Interstate 8 Conference victory on Thursday evening. Junior Alivia Henkel and sophomore Kendyl Darby each scored nine points for the Lady Hubs (5-15, 3-3 Interstate 8), while junior Kennedy Adamski added eight points in the win.

Senior Torrin Nantz converted two 3-pointers for six points while adding four rebounds and four assists on Thursday. Junior Sydney Tabor chipped in five points and anchored the Rochelle defense with a team-leading four steals, while junior Kara Martinez notched three steals on the defensive end. Darby led Rochelle with eight rebounds and added four assists to command the Lady Hub offense in the victory.

Sophomore Abby Metzger scored five points and junior Megan Seebach totaled four points for the Lady Hubs, who will face Kaneland on the road next Saturday, Jan. 14.
