Girls Basketball: McQuade resigns as head coach of Lady Hubs

Search underway for new head coach
ROCHELLE — Ryan McQuade has resigned after two years as head coach of the Rochelle Lady Hub varsity basketball team. The resignation was announced in an email from Rochelle Township High School athletic director Richard Harvey to parents and school administrators Monday afternoon.
"Today we met with this year's girls basketball players to share the news about Mr. McQuade," Harvey wrote. "We discussed how RTHS will be proceeding to hire a new coach and what will be available to them for this offseason. This is a top priority for our school and we are going to work hard to reach out and attract the highest quality coach for our team."
McQuade finished with a 23-41 overall record in his two-year stint with the Lady Hubs. Rochelle went 15-17 during the 2021-22 season before taking a step back during the 2022-23 season, finishing 8-24. Prior to his arrival at RTHS, McQuade spent seven seasons with the Aurora Christian boys basketball team, coaching the freshmen for two years before spending five years with the sophomores.
