Girls Basketball: Rochelle stuns Kaneland for Interstate 8 win


Three Lady Hubs reach double figures in 59-56 victory

MAPLE PARK — Three Rochelle Lady Hub varsity basketball players reached double figures in scoring on Saturday, when the purple and white knocked off the Kaneland Knights 59-56 for an Interstate 8 Conference victory. Junior Alivia Henkel led the Lady Hubs (6-17, 4-4 Interstate 8) with 21 points, nine rebounds and four assists, while sophomore Kendyl Darby recorded 12 points and seven rebounds.

Senior Torrin Nantz converted five 3-pointers in the game, finishing with 15 points as well as two assists and three steals. Junior Sydney Tabor compiled seven points, five assists, five rebounds and a team-leading six deflections for Rochelle in the win. The Lady Hubs will face Sycamore at home on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
