Girls Bowling: Lady Hubs concede conference finale against LaSalle-Peru

Rochelle finishes with 9-7 overall record and 6-4 record in Interstate 8

PERU — The Rochelle Lady Hub varsity bowling team held its final head-to-head match of the season on Wednesday, falling 3,116-2,407 against LaSalle-Peru. Sophomore Cassidy Vincent led the Lady Hubs (9-7, 6-4 Interstate 8) with a 532 series, while freshman Kylie McCullough added a 503 series in the match. Rochelle will host the Interstate 8 Conference Championship meet at T-Byrd Lanes on Tuesday at 1 p.m.

LaSalle-Peru won the first game 1,052-793, with Makenzie Hamilton rolling a 195 while three other Cavaliers including Kamryn Oscepinski (187), Camryn Perra (184) and Olivia Weber (182) shot high scores for the LaSalle-Peru side. Vincent's 167 and McCullough's 160 were the high scores for the Lady Hubs in the first game.

The Cavaliers claimed the second game 955-694 before clinching the conference sweep with an 1,109-920 win in the third game. Vincent concluded her series with scores of 170 and 195 over the final two games, while McCullough also finished strong with scores of 146 and 197. Junior Anahi Alanis fired a 196 in the third game to finish with a 403 series for the Lady Hubs.
