OTTAWA — The Rochelle Lady Hub bowling team faced Ottawa at Dettore’s Town Lanes on Wednesday, falling 2,288-2,042 in Interstate 8 Conference action and moving to 0-3 overall. The Lady Hubs will continue their schedule on Friday with a nonconference match against Oregon.
Ottawa defeated Rochelle 823-715 in the first game. Michaela Boaz led the Pirates with 210 while McKenzie Lewis added 152. Junior Alyssa Schwanert rolled 131 for the Lady Hubs. The Pirates extended their series lead with a 682-635 victory in the second game behind 158 from Boaz and 151 from Lewis. Freshman Faith Adams paced the Lady Hubs with 133.
Ottawa wrapped up its sweep in the third game, beating Rochelle 783-692. Boaz fired 177 to finish with a match-best 545 series, with Lewis rolling 178 for a 481 series. Schwanert scored 147 and finished with a team-high 407 series for the Lady Hubs, while Adams recorded 373.
