ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Lady Hub varsity bowling team hosted a nonconference match against Dixon on Monday. Freshman Cassidy Vincent fired a 555 series as the Lady Hubs took one game in their 2,715-2,665 series loss to the Duchesses.

The Lady Hubs fell to 1-3 with the loss. Dixon edged Rochelle by only 10 pins in the first game, winning 986-976 behind 238 from Grace DeBord and 196 from Tianna Bryson. Seniors Alyssa Mickley and Alyssa Schwanert carried the Lady Hubs in the first game, with Mickley shooting 202 and Schwanert adding 200.

Rochelle cut the series deficit to just four pins with an 892-886 victory in the second game. Vincent and Schwanert led the Lady Hubs in the second game, with Vincent rolling 192 and Schwanert recording 186. Bryson totaled 190 for Dixon’s top score in the second game.

The Duchesses outlasted Rochelle in the third game, winning 843-797 to take the series. Bryson fired 203 to finish with a match-best 589 series, while Vincent scored 203 for the Lady Hubs in the third game. Mickley rolled 167 to end the evening with a 501 series and Schwanert recorded a 524 series after totaling 137 in the third game. DeBord bowled a 515 series.

J-Hawk Invite

The Rochelle Lady Hub varsity bowling finished 15th out of 18 schools in the Rockford Jefferson J-Hawk Invitational at the Cherry Bowl on Saturday. Senior Alyssa Schwanert led the Lady Hubs with a 488 series and 186 high game, while freshman Cassidy Vincent recorded a 408 series. Rochelle totaled 1,954 pins over three games before adding 1,349 pins in the baker format.
