OTTAWA — The Rochelle varsity girls bowling team rolled its first strikes of the 2018-19 season when the Lady Hubs battled Ottawa on the road Tuesday evening. The Lady Pirates won all three games and the team series by a final score of 2,330-2,068 to drop Rochelle to 0-1 overall.
Ottawa edged Rochelle 812-753 in the first game with freshman Alyssa Schwanert leading the Lady Hubs with a high game of 182. The Lady Pirates took the second game 772-621, and Ottawa won the third game 746-694, with freshman Alyssa Mickley rolling 183 and senior Autumn Headon adding 180 for Rochelle.
Mickley finished with a high series score of 457 for the Lady Hubs, while Headon totaled 426 and Schwanert added 411. Rochelle will compete in the Jefferson J-Hawk Invitational in Rockford this weekend.
