The Rochelle Lady Hub varsity bowling team recorded its best three-game series score of the season on Tuesday, defeating the Kaneland Knights 2,730-2,211 and sweeping the home-and-home Interstate 8 Conference set. Freshman Cassidy Vincent finished with a team-high 597 series, while senior Alyssa Mickley added a 511 series in the win.

DEKALB — The Rochelle Lady Hub varsity bowling team recorded its best three-game series score of the season on Tuesday, defeating the Kaneland Knights 2,730-2,211 and sweeping the home-and-home Interstate 8 Conference set. Freshman Cassidy Vincent finished with a team-high 597 series, while senior Alyssa Mickley added a 511 series in the win.
The Lady Hubs (6-8, 4-4 Interstate 8) opened the match with their best team game of the season, topping Kaneland 983-669 with Vincent shooting 213 and senior Anna Samo rolling a season-high 204. Mickley followed with 193 and sophomore Faith Adams added 148 for Rochelle in the first game.
Rochelle extended its series lead with a 915-772 victory during the second game. Vincent continued her strong series with 203, while senior Carly Summers fired 162 and Mickley scored 159. Samo, who finished with a 499 series on Tuesday, scored 156 in the second game for the Lady Hubs.
The Lady Hubs sealed the sweep in the third game, winning 832-770 despite Kaneland's Preslee Sutherland shooting 212. Vincent recorded 181 and Mickley rolled 159 to lead Rochelle in the third game. Sutherland ended the evening with a 517 series to lead the Knights.
