The Rochelle Lady Hub varsity bowling team placed sixth out of eight schools in the Sterling MLK Invitational at Paone’s Blackhawk Lanes on Monday. Freshman Cassidy Vincent led the Lady Hubs with a 1,089 series over six games, shooting 211 in her final game of the afternoon session to earn the first-place individual high game medal for the tournament.

STERLING — The Rochelle Lady Hub varsity bowling team placed sixth out of eight schools in the Sterling MLK Invitational at Paone’s Blackhawk Lanes on Monday. Freshman Cassidy Vincent led the Lady Hubs with a 1,089 series over six games, shooting 211 in her final game of the afternoon session to earn the first-place individual high game medal for the tournament.

Sophomore Faith Adams rolled an 822 series for Rochelle, while senior Anna Samo recorded a 779 series and sophomore Anahi Alanis fired a 770 series. Senior Carly Summers rounded out the Lady Hub varsity lineup with a 728 series. Rochelle scored 1,954 pins during the three-game morning sessions before bowing out with 2,234 in the afternoon for a 4,188 final score.

The Rochelle Lady Hub varsity bowling team finished 11th out of 18 schools in the Charles Butterfield Invitational at Echo Lanes in Morris on Saturday. Freshman Cassidy Vincent led the Lady Hubs with a 937 series over six games, while senior Anna Samo rolled a 915 series.

Rochelle scored 674, 725 and 662 over the first three games to reach the halfway point of the tournament with a 2,061 total. The Lady Hubs recorded 719, 709 and 679 over their final three games to end the tournament with a 4,168 final score. Rounding out the Rochelle lineup were senior Carly Summers (725) as well as sophomores Faith Adams (639) and Anahi Alanis (634).
