ROCHELLE — Sophomore Cassidy Vincent shined for the Rochelle Lady Hub varsity bowling team on Thursday, firing a match-best 670 series to lead the purple and white over Streator 2,519-2,028 in nonconference action. Rochelle (7-5, 5-3 Interstate 8) will compete in two tournaments over the holiday weekend including the Charles Butterfield Invitational in Morris and the Sterling MLK Invitational.
The Lady Hubs took a commanding series lead in the first game, where Rochelle defeated Streator 855-658 behind a 224 from Vincent. Freshman Kylie McCullough rolled a 149 and junior Faith Adams added a 146 for the Lady Hubs, who won the second game 794-697 behind 220 from Vincent. Lyla Gengler shot a 141 for the Bulldogs in the second game.
Rochelle clinched the nonconference sweep with a 870-673 victory during the third game, where Vincent threw a series-best 226 and McCullough followed with a series-best 162 for the Lady Hubs. McCullough finished with a 438 series for Rochelle in the win.
