Girls Bowling: Vincent leads Lady Hubs at Sterling MLK Invitational

Sophomore standout medals in third place with 1,152 series

STERLING — The Rochelle Lady Hub varsity bowling team placed fifth out of eight schools with a 4,607 series total during the Sterling MLK Invitational on Monday. Sophomore Cassidy Vincent took third overall with an individual series score of 1,152 while also finishing third for high three-game series with 633 and third for high single game with 241. Freshman Kylie McCullough added a 967 series and junior Faith Adams recorded a 912 series for Rochelle (7-5, 5-3 Interstate 8).

Rochelle recorded team scores of 779, 743 and 817 over the first three games of the tournament. Vincent paced the Lady Hubs with scores of 192, 200 and 241 over the first three games, while McCullough threw scores of 153, 158 and 157. Adams rolled her series-best score of 190 in the third game and junior Anahi Alanis fired a series-best 149 during the first game.

Rochelle concluded the tournament with team scores of 746, 781 and 741. Vincent finished with scores of 165, 196 and 158 and McCullough rallied for scores of 169, 176 and 154. Alanis rolled a 149 during the fourth game and Adams chipped in a 158 during the sixth game.
