Girls Soccer: Morris nets shutout over Rochelle

Lady Hubs muster two shots on goal in 6-0 loss to Redskins

MORRIS — The Rochelle varsity girls soccer team suffered its fifth consecutive loss on Tuesday, falling on the road to the Morris Redskins by a score of 6-0 to drop to 2-9-1 on the season. Morris topped Rochelle 14-2 in shots on goal and 16-6 in total shots. Junior Viviana Belmonte totaled eight saves for the Lady Hubs.

The Redskins stuck first with a goal in the second minute before adding two more goals during the first half to lead Rochelle 3-0 at halftime. Morris sealed the win with three insurance goals in the second half. Senior Olivia Piloni and sophomore Vianey Perusquia each recorded one shot on goal for the Lady Hubs.
