ROCHELLE — Gladys O. Russell, 82, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016 in her home in Rochelle. Gladys was born Sept. 12, 1934 to Guy and Bessie (Brack) Lampley in Lepanto, Ark. She married Carlos “Mickey” Russell on Aug. 15, 1969 in Rochelle, who preceded her in death on Sep. 19, 2011. She was employed with Caron International for many years.
In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by two brothers, Obie Lee and Harold Lampley; and one grandson, TJ Anders.
Gladys is survived by eight children, Kathy (Danny) Roberson of Dixon, Mo., Karla Pyatt of St. James, Mo., David (Diane) Russell, Dennis Russell, Andy Earl Anders, Ed Anders, Angie (Ron) Dicus and Mike Anders, all of Rochelle; 14 grandchildren, Josey, Nicholas and Jamie Michelle Pyatt, Danielle Robinson, Shanna Fowler, Megan and Kelsy Russell, Jason and Justin Anders, Steven (Sarah) King, Briana and Jonathan (Kayla) Dicus, Tarryn and Amber Anders; nine great-grandchildren; one great-grandson due in May 2017; and one brother, Tommy (Rhonda) Lampley. The visitation will be from 9 to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. Sixth Street, Rochelle. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Chaplain Judy Williams officiating. Burial is at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle.
