STERLING — The Hubs varsity golf team finished 12th out of 15 schools in the Sterling Invitational at Emerald Hill this past Saturday, shooting 363 behind seniors Garrett Glosser and Noah Griffith, who turned in Rochelle’s two best scores in the competition.
Glosser scored 83 to lead the Hubs on Saturday, while Griffith finished one stroke behind with 84. Rochelle’s varsity lineup also included junior Brady Shank and senior Tyler Nalley, who shot the team’s third and fourth-best scores in the tournament. Shank scored 97, while Nalley added 99 to round out the Rochelle squad.
Rochelle will travel to Senica’s Oak Ridge for the Northern Illinois Big 12 Conference Meet on Wednesday before returning to Oak Ridge on Saturday for the LaSalle-Peru Invitational. The Hubs will compete in the IHSA Class 2A Regional at Mendota on Tuesday, Oct. 3.
