STERLING — The Rochelle varsity golf team placed 13th out of 13 schools in the Sterling Invitational at Emerald Hills on Saturday, totaling a team score of 441. Sophomore Megan Thiravong led the Hubs with 91 while sophomore Reese Kirk added 105. Junior Sean Flanagan recorded 117 and freshman Shepard Hayes scored 128.
Thiravong will compete in the Northern Illinois Big 12 Conference Girls Meet at Fairways Golf Course on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 4 p.m. Rochelle will then play the Northern Illinois Big 12 Conference Boys Meet at Senica’s Oak Ridge on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 4 p.m.
