FRANKLIN GROVE — In their 29th year of ministry the well-known, and very popular, Gospel Quartet “The Assemblymen” will be appearing at Franklin Grove’s historic H.I. Lincoln building at 7 p.m. on May 31.
Their combination of Gospel music and Gospel ministry is legendary on the Northern Illinois music scene.
The multi-talented group includes soundman John Tallecksen who also sings with the group Professions of Faith; baritone Paul Nelson who doubles as tour bus driver in traveling to events; lead singer Gary Shull. Gary also does double duty with the Professions of Faith; High Tenor David Nelson who is also one of the founders 29 years ago; and bass singer Vern Thompson to round out the talented group. For really good music, their appeal is truly universal.
