ROCHELLE — In response to the Surface Transportation Board decision released on June 2, Great Lakes Basin Transportation submitted the requested documents in time for the June 22 deadline.
In documents posted to the STB website Thursday, the rail transportation company filed the supplemental information to the construction application. Among those, a list of cities, towns and counties to be served by the proposed GLBT line as well as affidavits of newspaper publications that prove the applicant published a summary of the application in which the proposed line is located.
Also requested is the balance sheet and income statement, which GLBT provided for the year ending in Dec. 31, 206. According to the documents submitted to the STB, the transportation company’s total current assets are listed at $151, total current liabilities $802,000 and a net income of over $1 million.
The STB gave no further details when a comment period would be reopened, stating, “staff and board members are concentrating on the contents of the filing” at this time.
