ROCHELLE — Country Road Greenhouses will host its first plant sale Saturday, May 19 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the greenhouses, located at 19561 E. Twombly Road, Rochelle.
A large variety of native plants, native mixed flats, vegetable plants and interior plants will be offered in 38 Flats of 38 Prairie Plugs™, 3-inch pots, quart pots, gallon pots, and in hanging baskets.
Peggy and Bryan Redington, co-owners of CRG are excited to invite the local community to share in this event, and will have approximately 100 Native species, some special Native mixes, more than 30 vegetable plants, and a variety of interior plants at the sale.
Country Road Greenhouses has been in business for 30 years, and focuses on supplying native plants, grasses, rushes and sedges, mainly to landscapers and the restoration industries. This will be their only offering to the retail market this spring.
