BRISTOL — Senior Noah Griffith led the Hubs varsity golf team on Thursday, shooting a low score of 42 in Rochelle’s conference match with the Yorkville Foxes.
Yorkville shot a team score of 172 to earn the victory, with Rochelle totaling 191. Senior Garrett Glosser recorded a 47, and junior Brady Shank added a 50 to round out the varsity team’s top three scores at Blackberry Oaks Golf Course.
The Hubs fall to 3-6 on the season with the loss, and the players will return to action this weekend as they battle in the E-Rab Varsity Invitational at Aldeen Golf Club in Rockford. Freshman Sam Hacaga led the junior varsity golf team on Thursday, shooting a 56.
