ROCHELLE — Harriett R. Stultz, 89, loving mother and grandmother, passed away Friday, Feb. 3, 2017 in Franklin Grove, with her family at her side. Harriett was born Oct. 1, 1927 to Madis and Elizabeth (Hitchcock) Ebens in Nachusa Township. She married Donald E. Stultz on Jan. 11, 1947 in Mt. Morris. He preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 2011.
In addition to her husband, she is also predeceased by two sons, Dennis and David Stultz; brother, Robert Ebens, and sister, Helen Ebens. Harriett enjoyed playing cards and checkers, watching game shows and being a homemaker.
Harriett is survived by her son, Douglas (Flora) Stultz of Rochelle; daughter-in-law, Mary Stultz of Rochelle; eight grandchildren, Allen (Jen) Stultz, Aaron, Jason, and Jennifer Stultz, Stephanie (Rene) Rodriguez, Ryan (Jami) Stultz, Derek Stultz, and David Hooper; nine great-grandchildren, Aidynn and Gracynn Stultz, James, Ricardo and Audrina Rodriguez, Mariah Stultz and Dayton, Dennis, and Elizabeth Hooper; two brothers, Larry Ebens of Kewanee, and Ronald (Silvia) Ebens of Las Vegas, Nev.; and her sister, Gloria McKenzie of Oregon.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, Feb. 8 from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. Sixth Street, Rochelle. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Unger Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Rob Hamilton officiating. Burial will be at the Trinity Memory Gardens.
