Harvell named 2019 High Performer

ROCHELLE — Rochelle Community Hospital named Tom Harvell as its 2019 High Performer of the Year.
Harvell was selected among the 12 High Performers of the Month in 2019. He has been employed at the hospital for two years as a skilled maintenance technician.
Nominations

He received three nominations in January 2019:
“Tom is always willing to go above and beyond for the hospital. He is always willing to stay late or come in early to complete any projects or issues we have going on. During the last snow storm he came in Sunday evening and put in more than a 12-hour shift when he wasn’t on call and was not expected to be here. His positive outlook, can do attitude, and knowledge have been a great asset to maintenance and the hospital as a whole.”
“Since Tom joined RCH he has been willing to do whatever is asked of him, doing it efficiently and timely. Tom’s range of capabilities is a reason for envy as you will find Tom doing electrical wiring, painting and whatever else is needed – whether by plan, prevention or emergency. Tom (along with select others) really carried the load in maintenance as a result of the manager’s resignation and other staff being off. During this time the maintenance department didn’t miss a beat, they just kept going. More recently – during the late November snowfall, Tom started plowing snow at 6 p.m. Sunday evening and was still on site at 7 a.m. Monday morning. Tom gets along well with most everyone, greeting everyone he comes in contact with. Tom is a pleasure to have around RCH and the most enjoyable part is he’s always smiling. “
“He always has a smile on his face, and is super pleasant to work with. He also has been doing an insane job on getting all the painting done in the hospital. He is a painting beast, and we appreciate him and his mad skills very much.”
