FRANKLIN GROVE — The theme for the 38th annual Franklin Grove Summer Harvest Festival is "Old Fashioned Fun" and will be held the weekend of Aug. 4-6.
Festival honorees this year are Bill and Reva Brierton. Both Bill and Reva have been active in the community, serving on numerous boards over the past 30 or more years.
Major events during the weekend will include the Living History Antique Equipment Association Show, the Big Rig Truck Show, Chaplin Creek Village, the art show, community-wide yard sales, the annual parade, food and music in various places throughout the weekend.
All Big Rig donations go to the Shriners Children’s Hospitals making it one of the largest fundraisers for the Shriners Children Hospitals in northern Illinois.
