ROCHELLE — Tim Hayden has been voted in as the new president of the Flagg-Rochelle Community Park District Board after a reorganization of officers on Monday afternoon.
Typically, the board elects officers each year in May, but due to having a vacancy on the board the reorganization was postponed.
“Once Joe Lenkaitis was appointed to fill the board vacancy, it gave the commissioners the opportunity to hold their election of officers,” explained district office and program manager Maureen Stevens.
Hayden replaces Brent Carmichael, who will now serve as assistant secretary.
