ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Township High School mathematics team participated in the Northern Illinois Big 12 Conference math contest Tuesday.
The following team members placed:
Second place - Linear equations team: Peter Forsberg, Jason Zheng, Devansh Patel and Miguel Cruz
Fourth place - Factoring team Forsberg, Zheng, Patel, Cruz
Fifth place - Coordinate geometry team: Jesenia Solano, Lauren Hopkins, Ariel Zuercher and Kiya Herrera
Third place - Areas team: Solano, Anthony Powell, Hopkins and Oscar Aguirre
Fifth place - Systems of equations team: Caitlin Hensley, Caitlin McMurray and Brandi Salinas
Tied for third place - The Junior/Senior 8 person team: Forsberg, Hensley, McMurray, Salinas along with Kristine Hambardzumyan, Katherine Bakken, Jasmine Rissman and Connor Lenkaitis.
The team is coached by Brock Hutchinson.
