Hillcrest fibre optic installation approved by trustees


HILLCREST — Village of Hillcrest officials approved a right of way application dealing with the installation of fiber optics from IL Route 251 to the water tower. The approval gives Guzman Excavating the go ahead to complete the work.
In other business, trustee Tim Ball discussed the recent use of off-road vehicles being driven on village streets. There have been boats parked in yards, which he said is also against village ordinance.
Jerry Bevers, village water tester, will be retiring. President Steve Dodson said he has been talking to the Adam Lanning, Supt. of Water at Rochelle Municipal Utilities, on a replacement person for water testing and monthly reports.
