ROCHELLE — The Rochelle area community is invited to learn more about the history of the state of Illinois at a presentation Wednesday, June 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the Flagg-Rochelle Public Library.
John Lynn, a Peoria area state history buff will be presenting a program entitled, “The Prairie State Primer,” to coincide with the state’s bicentennial celebrations this year.
Connie Avery, assistant director, explained the program will feature the basic story of the features, attractions, and heritage of our state. The presentation aligns with the library’s themes of “Reading Takes You Everywhere” and “Take a Rochelle Staycation.”
“We invite everyone to come and enjoy a program full of Illinois facts and history,” Avery said. “The program is for children and adults.”
