ROCHELLE — Children and adults in the care of HOPE of Ogle County domestic abuse services were given extra holiday blessings from three area organizations.
Angel Tree donations from Rochelle Community Hospital, gifts from Rochelle Foods and a monetary donation from TNT Motor Sales all helped to brighten the holiday season for the families.
“The generosity of our employees provided more than 160 gifts to make Christmas brighter for local HOPE families this year,” Janet Stewart, marketing/public relations coordinator, Rochelle Community Hospital. “This is the second year RCH has supported HOPE Angel Tree gifts.”
Ruth Carter, executive director of HOPE, said the majority of clients coming to the agency are for some type of supportive service such as individual, family counseling, crisis counseling or bringing or attending support groups for adults and children.
Nearly 450 children, teens and adults were served in fiscal year 2018.
“Thank you to the wonderful supporters of HOPE who donated this holiday season to help the children and adults who reach out and receive our domestic abuse services,” said Carter. “The support has been heartwarming and life changing for those we serve.
