ROCKFORD — The Rochelle freshman and sophomore baseball teams joined forces to face the Rockford Boylan Titans on Wednesday in combined frosh-soph action, with the Hubs holding a 10-3 lead but surrendering eight unanswered runs to fall in a close battle by a score of 11-10.
Sophomore Mason DeLille (right) went 2-for-3 in the game including a big home run to lead the Rochelle offense, while fellow sophomore Brady Shank totaled a team-high three RBIs and pitched a solid four innings on the mound before leaving the game with a 7-3 lead.
Seven Hubs drove in at least one run including sophomore Louie Mancinas, who is pictured making a play in the outfield. Sophomore Noah Knight and freshmen Charlie Jandak, Gavin Ansteth and Kaleb Hess each recorded one RBI in the game. (Courtesy photos)
