ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Hub wrestling team held its season-ending banquet this past Thursday, and there were plenty of awards to go around.
Three Hubs earned All-Conference honors including juniors Justin Hernandez, Alex Harvey and sophomore Eddie Villalobos, while there was a three-way tie for the Most Dedicated Wrestler Award between freshman Diego Escobar, sophomore Will Jandak and freshman Gavin Ansteth.
Villalobos took home the Takedown King Award behind a team-high 124 takedowns, with Harvey receiving the Pin King Award with 20 pins this year. Junior Austin Tracey won the Carney Sportsmanship Award for his leadership and his role as a positive motivator.
