DEKALB — Junior Hayden Jones was Rochelle’s low player for the first time this season when the Hubs golf team traveled to DeKalb on Monday for a conference match against the Barbs.
DeKalb took the match, totaling 154 strokes to Rochelle’s 196. Jones finished with a score of 44, with seniors Noah Griffith (46) and Garrett Glosser (49) following him. Three Rochelle players scored in the 50s to round out the varsity team on Monday.
The Hubs junior varsity team did not finish due to rainy conditions. Rochelle’s varsity team drops to 1-4 on the season and 0-3 in conference play with the loss.
