GENESEO — The Hubs varsity golf team took ninth out of 12 schools in the Geneseo Invitational at Maple Bluff Golf Club this past Saturday, with senior Noah Griffith shooting a team-low score of 78 to finish 17th individually.
Senior Garrett Glosser scored an 84, while junior Hayden Jones (87) and freshman Megan Thiravong (94) rounded out Rochelle’s top four scores on Saturday. Naperville Central (302) placed first, edging out runner-up Bettendorf (306) and third-place finisher Pekin (307). The Hubs finished with a score of 343.
Rochelle will face DeKalb to begin this week before battling Oregon and North Boone in a triangular meet on Wednesday. The Hubs will host Ottawa on Thursday, Aug. 31 at Fairways Golf Course for their first home match of the 2017 season.
