ROCHELLE — The Hubs freshman baseball team extended its winning streak to four games on Wednesday, taking down the LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers by a score of 7-0 to begin a three-game conference series.
Nolan Andersen threw a no-hit shutout for Rochelle, striking out seven batters while surrendering just three walks. Charlie Jandak went 2-for-4 at the plate with a team-high two RBIs, while Ethan Etes and Devlen Buh combined to go 3-for-7 with two RBIs and three runs scored. Zack Capes plated one run on an RBI groundout to third base.
Five Hubs crossed home plate in the win including Kaleb Hess, who went 1-for-3 with a single. Seth Gould and Austin Greifenkamp also scored for Rochelle, who improves to 7-5 overall with the win.
