ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Township High School Board of Education held a mandatory reorganizational meeting Tuesday evening.
Board president Tom Huddleston was elected to his ninth two-year term as board president, while Jeff Tilton was elected vice president and Bill Ravnaas elected secretary.
The reorganizational meeting also included setting the dates and times for future board meetings. Beginning with the May 15 board meeting, board members will meet at 5:30 p.m. instead of 7 p.m.
“I’ve been here [20+] years and we’ve always met at 7 p.m.,” superintendent Jamie Craven said. “Sometimes we continue doing things because they are how it has always been done.”
Board members reached a consensus to change the meeting time.
