CRESTON — Village residents in Creston are being reminded that hydrant flushing will be conducted on Thursday, April 27 and Friday, April 28.
Municipalities across the country routinely flush their hydrants to make sure there is adequate flow and pressure available in case the need arises. The process also helps to clean out possible blockages from lime deposits and sediments.
Residents might notice water is rusty at times. Avoid washing light-colored or white clothing during the hydrant flushing.
