BLOOMINGTON — With the scheduled start of the fall sports season only weeks away, the IHSA has postponed its upcoming board meeting to Wednesday, July 29 as executive director Craig Anderson plans to meet with IDPH and ISBE officials this Friday. The IHSA board meeting had been scheduled for July 22.
Fall sports are slated to begin Monday, Aug. 10 with competitions beginning as early as Thursday, Aug. 13. The IHSA announced this past Tuesday that the association will defer to the IDPH, ISBE and Governor's Office on all return-to-play guidelines. The IHSA had previously implemented its IDPH-approved Phase 4 Return to Play Guidelines earlier this month before further revisions were necessary.
