ROCHELLE — Jane Kristin Trebing, 75, of Rochelle, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021, at Prairie Crossing Living and Rehab Center in Shabbona. She was born to Carolyn S. Fischer on May 10, 1946, in Chicago and the adopted daughter of Milton and Christine (Hartman) Corwin.
Jane was a free loving spirit and touched the hearts of those around her. She never knew a stranger and prided herself on being able to make everyone she met, laugh. Of course she never hesitated to share her opinion or put you in your place if needed. She enjoyed many crafts of which painting was her favorite. Above all she loved her children, grandchildren and newest edition great child, showing off pictures and telling stories to whoever would listen. She was loved deeply and had the truest of friends.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Dan) Harned of Rathdrum, Idaho and her children, Michelle, Matthew (Helena) Harned of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and their son, Allan Harned, and Brett (Kamryn) Harned of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; and two sons, Matthew James (Diana) Thelen of Wauconda, Illinois and his children, Anthony Grader, John Grader Maudaya Hersey, Tabitha Hersey, Michael Hersey and Charles Alan Trebing, Jr. of Twin Lakes, Wisconsin.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Christine Corwin.
Cremation care has been provided by the Jacobson-Torman Funeral Home in Shabbona. A private service will be held at a later date.
