ROCHELLE — Jennie Lynette Bohannon, 37, passed away on May 28. Bohannon was born on Nov. 6, 1983 in Rochelle to Weston and Virginia (Turner) Bohannon.
She went to Educators of Beauty in Rockford and became a beautician. She enjoyed doing hair and was a manager of Cost Cutters at Wal-Mart in Rochelle. She liked watching reality shows, listening to Christian music and 80’s rock and roll and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She was a member of the Church of God in Rochelle. She was especially proud of her daughters and their accomplishments.
Bohannon is survived by her mother, Virginia; two children, Olivia of Rockwood, Tennessee and Priscilla of Rochelle; two half sisters, Angie O’Rorke of Rochelle and Myra Rodriguez of Mexico; three aunts, Donna Bass of Memphis, Tennessee, Lana (Gary) Chavis of Pembroke, North Carolina and Mary De Pauw of Winnebago; six uncles, David Bohannon, Tony Bohannon, Gerald (Melody) Turner of Morgan City, Louisiana, Michael Turner of Kings, Alvis (Debbie) Turner of Rochelle and Jason Turner of Cedar Creek, Texas; her best friend and niece, Angele Villalobos and several other nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Weston.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 6, at 2 pm. at Beverage-Lyons Family Funeral Home at 704 N. 6th St. in Rochelle. Pastor Duane Boehm will be officiating.
